Security Starts Before the Click
Digital tools now allow us to work faster, more flexibly and more connectedly than ever before. At the same time, every new login, link and file can become a point through which someone tries to enter our work and private lives.
In this issue, we look at cybersecurity from three perspectives. Jurij Triller in his article covers the practical risks most often hidden behind seemingly ordinary messages, passwords and system access, and reminds us of the basic steps that can make an attacker’s job much harder. In the central interview, Aleksej Kranjec explains why resilience means being prepared for the moment an incident occurs and why plans must be genuinely tested. In third article I go a step further: I’m considering the pressure of constant urgency, trust and a working environment in which people can pause, check something suspicious and admit a mistake without fear.
Security is therefore not only an IT task or a list of technical measures. It is a habit, an attitude towards time and a responsibility we share. Resilience does not mean an incident will never happen; it means knowing how to respond when it does.
