Do you know what the most valuable commodity in the business world is?
It's right in front of us: the first issue of our newsletter. However, as often happens, the phrase "no time" long delayed its birth.
Who is it for? Everyone who likes to stay updated with the latest trends and solutions that deliver proven results. We will strive to regularly deliver strategies from our partners to your inbox, bringing impressive results in the field of digitalization.
In this section of the newsletter, I will share my perspective on various topics concerning the challenges of digitalization in certain business processes. Not with theory and speculation, but with practical examples of real-life stories and challenges I have faced throughout my career.
Since many of us are meeting here for the first time, it’s only appropriate that I briefly introduce myself. I have been an entrepreneur and salesperson since my early student days. My first sales job was at the media house Delo Revije. At that time, as a young man, I felt I was earning a small fortune through commissions. The reward and pay were directly connected. The more successful I was, the greater the reward! This job led me to pursue university studies while working. Was this the best decision?
I don't know. Just as it's hard to say for many challenges that followed. My life has seen many ups and downs. Some, especially the painful ones, are hard to accept. Even harder to talk about. Especially when, in times of trouble, you discover the true nature of many "friends" or face completely unexpected complications.
The most recent instance was during Covid. When the world practically came to a halt, the crisis hit our startup particularly hard. Suddenly, there were no more events, congresses, or seminars. Our solution IDConference (a suite of various software tools to help event organizers manage participants) was no longer needed. Practically overnight, we had to offer the market a new service, which then helped us navigate the turbulent months. But more on that in the next issue...
All these obstacles and challenges often brought me down but never broke me. They even somehow strengthened me. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a passion for collecting data. The more information you have, the better you can understand your customer. Consequently, you can offer them a product that suits them best. Satisfied customers are always willing to pay more!
Just before the financial crisis of 2008, I tried to enhance an idea in the field of customer relations. This led me to a company that dealt with identification products. There, I combined my passion for data collection with improving the customer experience.
I started offering companies a service that was still new here: loyalty programs supported by modern digital solutions.
But when the crisis hit hard in Slovenia in 2009 and 2010, the situation changed in an instant. Companies offering their products without a serious strategy suddenly found themselves in trouble. In the fight for survival, many entrepreneurs opted for the easiest solution: massive discounts...
In our company, we think differently. We help develop unique solutions that allow you to offer your customers a much better user experience. By building a long-term relationship with them, you create an invisible wall around your business. With its help, you will be immune to the price war that always hits companies without the right strategy the hardest, especially those without a base of loyal customers.
Therefore, I invite you to dedicate some of your precious time to innovations in the field of digital solutions. Believe me, in the long run, using the tools that our partners successfully use in the relentless competition of the open market will save your most precious commodity: time. Alongside it, you will also save money.
